What Is The New Identification System For Marking Courier Bags?
Hi There,
How are you doing?
Today, we have an important announcement regarding a procedural change. Going forward, we kindly ask that you use a new set of identifications when marking courier bags.
Let’s dive in.
Each bag should contain shipments assigned to only one courier company.
What is the new recommended way to mark Courier Bags now?
The new formula is one Carrier per bag.
This means Couriers Please bags should not contain any Australia Post or Aramex shipments.
This will ensure that shipments are correctly assigned to their respective courier companies, Aramex, Australia Post, or Couriers Please.
If the selected Carrier is Couriers Please, kindly write ‘COU’ over the bag.
You can do this by affixing a sticker or using a permanent marker to write the Carrier’s code on the bag.
Similarly, ‘ARA’ for Aramex and ‘AUS’ for Australia Post. For New Zealand shipments, use ‘NZL’.
I again request and repeat: Please ensure that every bag is appropriately marked with the correct carrier code.
Using ‘COU’ will ensure that only Couriers Please shipments are placed in the bag; Aramex shipments should not be mixed in.
Additionally, please refrain from using the Couriers Please logo instead of “COU” identification.
Why do we suggest avoiding the Carrier’s logo?
This is crucial to prevent any potential confusion with airport authorities. If they see the Couriers Please logo, there’s a risk they might mistakenly deliver the bag to the Courier Please company. This would be incorrect since customs clearance is our (DTDC) responsibility, not theirs.
Writing ‘COU’ might look strange to people at the airport authorities, and they won’t understand, but our team knows what it means. We want to keep it a secret code so others don’t figure it out.
If you have smaller volume shipments for Australia Post, you can use a smaller-sized bag for these cases.
I hope I’ve explained the new process change clearly to you.
Wishing you a wonderful day and praying for your prosperity and health.
Thank you.
Kind Regards,
