What’s Changing with Australia Post on November 1st?

Starting on November 1st 2023, there are some new rules.

First, no package can weigh more than 20 kilograms.

Second, the longest side of your package can’t be longer than 105 centimetres.

Lastly, the whole consignment volume, when you put it all together, can’t be bigger than 0.25 cubic meters.

Now, if your package or consignment applies to any of these, the people at Australia Post can do two things. They might still take it, but you’ll have to pay extra – $135AUD extra per parcel, to be exact.

But if they decide not to take it, you’ll still have to pay a fee. That fee will be $19.50 per parcel. This charge covers the expense of sending your parcel back to our depot in Australia and then additional redelivery fees will apply after calculating costs to send with another carrier.

So, it’s important to make sure your packages follow these new rules.

In case you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to ask us. However, please keep in mind that these changes will take effect from November 1st onwards and our accounts team will be billing these charges back to your office if they are incurred.
